Managing partner appointed as visiting fellow at the University of Oxford

Mishcon de Reya’s managing partner, James Libson, has been appointed as a visiting fellow at the University of Oxford. This position acknowledges James’s exceptional contributions to the legal field and signifies the expertise he brings to the university’s academic environment.

The University of Oxford’s visiting fellowships scheme is designed to foster collaboration and knowledge exchange between the academic community and industry leaders. James’s appointment, which began on 1 September 2024, will initially last for three years, with the possibility of an extension.

In his role as a visiting fellow, James will engage in a variety of activities aimed at enhancing the university’s academic reach. These will include serving as an ambassador for the Centre for Corporate Reputation, participating in teaching programmes, and providing expert advice on research priorities. The fellowship will also involve James in key events such as the annual Reputation Symposium.

Rupert Younger, director at the Oxford University Centre for Corporate Reputation, said: ‘We are delighted to be welcoming James as a visiting fellow. He brings a wealth of experience from business and the law, and we look forward to his engagement with the centre and the valuable contributions that he will make to the research and impact activities that we undertake within the University of Oxford.’

James commented: ‘I am deeply honoured to be appointed as a visiting fellow at the University of Oxford. It is a privilege to be recognised by such a prestigious institution and to have the opportunity to contribute to its distinguished academic community.’
