Moore Barlow—Sarah Crookall, Louise Barretto & David Hodgson

Corporate and family practices expand with trio of senior hires

South East firm Moore Barlow has welcomed three new lawyers to its team, including the return of partner Sarah Crookall (pictured) to its corporate and commercial practice. Crookall, who rejoins from Leonardo UK Ltd., brings more than two decades of experience advising on business, IT, intellectual property and licensing matters. She will be based in the firm’s Southampton office.

Joining the family team in Richmond are legal director Louise Barretto and senior associate David Hodgson, both formerly of Russells Solicitors. Barretto, dual-qualified in South Africa and in England and Wales, focuses on complex financial disputes and often acts for high-profile clients. Hodgson, with over 25 years of experience, brings particular expertise in international divorce matters involving business assets and trusts.

The appointments support Moore Barlow’s continuing growth in family law, with the Richmond team seeing a 36% increase in fee earners over the past year. Managing partner Edward Whittington said the firm was ‘thrilled to welcome Sarah back’ and to add ‘Louise and David to our Richmond Family practice’.

Whittington added: ‘Their combined expertise and shared commitment to client-focused, commercially aware advice will be invaluable as we continue to grow and deliver exceptional service.’ Moore Barlow now spans six offices across the South East, including London, Woking and Guildford.
