London labour and employment team announces partner hire

Morgan Lewis has welcomed Katherine (Kat) Gibson as a partner in its global labour and employment practice in London. She joins from DLA Piper and advises UK and multinational employers on employment litigation, transactional support, business protection and workplace data privacy.

Firm chair Jami McKeon said global employers face ‘increasing regulatory shifts, technological advancement, and cross-border obligations’, adding that Gibson brings ‘a practical perspective that will help clients navigate these pressures and opportunities’.

Gibson advises employers across the full range of employment matters, including restrictive covenants, confidentiality arrangements and related litigation, as well as GDPR compliance and cross-border data transfers. Her earlier in-house experience underpins what the firm describes as a pragmatic, operationally focused approach.

David McManus, leader of the global labour and employment practice, said Gibson ‘adds meaningful breadth to our international team’, while London managing partner Nick Bolter said her arrival ‘reflects our continued investment in the London office’.
