Morr & Co—Dennis Phillips

International private client team appoints expert in Spanish law

Law firm Morr & Co has appointed Dennis Phillips as partner in its international private client team, reflecting rising demand for cross-border expertise. Joining the firm’s offices across Surrey, Hampshire and London, Dennis is one of few English-trained lawyers with deep experience in private client and property matters relating to Spain.

Catherine Fisher, managing partner at Morr & Co, said the appointment ‘reflects our commitment to providing expert guidance on the complex legal challenges our clients face when they own property abroad’. She added that Dennis’ skills would be ‘invaluable to families and individuals managing property and estates across jurisdictions’.

Dennis, who qualified in 2002 with a degree in law and Spanish law, specialises in multi-jurisdictional estates and regularly advises on Spanish property and succession matters, including administering Spanish assets bequeathed to UK charities. He said he looks forward to building on the firm’s cross-border capabilities, noting that his understanding of both legal systems will help clients find ‘cost-effective and practical solutions’.

By working closely with trusted professionals in the UK and Spain, Dennis will support Morr & Co’s expanding work on Spanish wills, estate administration, incapacity matters and lifetime property transfers. He said the aim is to ‘bridge the gap between both legal systems’, ensuring clients do not have to navigate complex cross-border issues alone.
