Mourant—Tom Grogan

Tech guru joins as chief transformation officer

International professional services firm Mourant has appointed Tom Grogan as chief transformation officer in a move that reinforces the firm’s commitment to innovation and sustainable growth. Grogan brings extensive experience in business transformation, AI strategy and digital leadership from his previous role at Mishcon de Reya, where he was dubbed the 'tech guru' by The Lawyer.

At Mishcon, Grogan held dual leadership roles as head of emerging technology and divisional CEO of its consultancy arm, driving digital transformation across the legal, financial and retail sectors. He was recognised by the Lexology Index as a Global Elite Thought Leader for FinTech and Blockchain in 2024—one of only 19 advisers worldwide to receive that distinction.

Grogan will now work closely with Mourant’s leadership team to advance digital innovation and strategic change across the firm. CEO Jonathan Rigby said Grogan's appointment 'emphasises our reputation as an employer of choice' and called his expertise and passion for ESG 'instrumental' to the firm’s future evolution.

Grogan, who has championed ESG integration through technology, called Mourant an 'ambitious and forward-thinking' firm and said he looked forward to ‘driving meaningful transformation and innovation’ in his new role. His hire follows a string of strategic appointments, including Brad Hillson as global head of private capital.
