Muckle LLP—Phoebe Gogarty

North East firm welcomes employment specialist

Muckle LLP has welcomed solicitor Phoebe Gogarty to its employment team, which is consistently ranked in Tier 1 by Legal 500. Qualifying in 2021, Gogarty (pictured, left) brings valuable experience advising and representing both businesses and individuals at all stages of employment.

After completing her MLaw exempting degree at Northumbria University, she returned to her native Yorkshire to train at a regional law firm before moving back to the North East. Gogarty said she was drawn to the region, noting: ‘I already had a taste for the North East after attending university here… moving back up further North just felt right.’

Speaking about her passion for the field, she said: ‘I’ve always enjoyed employment law because you get to deal with real people. There’s a human side to it and no two days are ever the same… whether it’s helping someone through a tricky situation or staying on top of constant changes in legislation, there’s always something new to learn.’

Chris Maddock, partner and head of the employment team (right), said: ‘We’re delighted to welcome Phoebe to the team. Her experience and enthusiasm make her a great fit for Muckle, and we’re looking forward to her being part of our focus on providing excellent, commercial advice to clients.’
