Muckle LLP—Ryan Butler

Banking and restructuring team bolstered by insolvency specialist

Muckle LLP has appointed Ryan Butler to its banking and restructuring team as a specialist insolvency solicitor. He joins with experience advising on a wide range of insolvency matters and has worked across commercial law and in-house firms. Butler also holds a professional qualification in insolvency from the Insolvency Practitioners Association.

At Muckle, he will work closely with partner Kelly Jordan (pictured, right) and associate Sarah Farish, advising insolvency practitioners on restructuring and insolvency issues. Jordan, a recognised expert in the North East, also serves as chair of the R3 North East Regional Committee.

Butler said: ‘I always knew I wanted to specialise in insolvency. I love the variety of the work and how no two days are ever the same.’ He added: ‘My previous in-house role gave me valuable hands-on experience and I’m keen to use this to contribute and support clients of the firm,’ and described Muckle as having ‘a brilliant reputation, with real experts’.

Louise Duffy, partner and head of banking and restructuring (pictured, left), said: ‘We’re delighted to have Ryan join our banking and restructuring team to enhance our insolvency offering.’ She added: ‘With Ryan’s mix of commercial and in-house experience, he really stands out as a valuable addition to our team.’
