Nelsons appoints new head of corporate

Dav Jaspal has been promoted to partner at Nelsons Solicitors, and will head up the corporate team at the firm’s Leicester office.

Dav, who qualified as a solicitor in 2007, has been practising corporate law at Nelsons for more than a decade. She has more than 12 years’ experience of advising businesses and business owners across the region, and has established a diverse client base in a variety of industry sectors.

‘Nelsons is a regional front-runner with an impressive reputation which is something I wanted to be a part of,’ Dav said.

‘My time at Nelsons has been great; the firm encourages development of its people and everyone has been really supportive. I am delighted to have risen through the ranks and been made a partner.

‘Corporate law is varied and complex in nature but at the same time it’s really rewarding and I’ve always thrived under the pressure of corporate transactions. Closing a transaction and meeting a client’s deadline is without a doubt the best part of my job. Nothing beats it. It’s usually very high pressure towards the end but when the deal has been completed, it’s extremely satisfying.’

She advises on acquisitions, disposals and mergers, management buy-outs and buy-ins, refinancing, corporate reorganisations, joint ventures, shareholders’ agreements and general business advice.

Stewart Vandermark, chief executive at Nelsons Solicitors, said: ‘Dav has shown continued professionalism and commitment to her role and clients throughout her time at Nelsons, which has led to her promotion.’
