NLJ this week: How to win a moot―tips & advice

63629
Mark Pawlowski, barrister and professor at School of Law, University of Greenwich, sets out what and what not to do if you want to win a moot, in this week’s NLJ. Keep it ‘simple and intelligible’, he cautions

Prepare, structure your argument, familiarise yourself with the other side’s argument and case law, and think about the judge. Pawlowski offers practical tips and sensible advice for mooting success.

While most of the basic techniques can be learnt in the classroom, however, he writes: ‘This is no substitute for raw talent.’
