NLJ this week: JR reform

Writing in this week’s NLJ, Professor Michael Zander QC, Emeritus Professor, LSE expresses concern about the government’s reform of judicial review.

The consultation on the Independent Review of Administrative Law, led by Lord Faulks, closed only days before the announcement of the Judicial Review Reform Bill in the Queen’s Speech.

‘Though the subject is one that obviously deserves mature and careful thought, the signs are that the government plans to rush ahead,’ he writes. And while the Lord Faulks report ‘was a disappointment for the government’, the government has pressed ahead.
