There is no end to the number of views on the COVID-19 vaccine, particularly on the benefits of vaccinating 12-15-year-olds. Writing in this week’s NLJ, however, David Locke, partner, Hill Dickinson, highlights a pertinent question on the issue of consent that has received less attention
‘What is barely being discussed, however, is the more difficult question of how informed consent can be obtained, having regard to the decision in Montgomery, even among those children who have the requisite capacity,’ he writes.
Locke considers the law surrounding consent, and the rights of children to consent.
