Novagraaf—Philip Harris

Consultancy appoints UK head of trade marks

International patent and trade mark consultancy Novagraaf has welcomed Philip Harris as the managing director of its UK trade mark operations.

A chartered trade mark attorney solicitor advocate, Philip has more than 35 years of experience in IP law, and was formerly an IP barrister with St Philips Chambers and Lane IP Ltd. He offers particular expertise in anti-counterfeiting and dispute management, as well as handling trade mark portfolios.

Novagraaf’s CEO Lutgarde Liezenberg said: ‘Our clients need the support of an IP consultancy with specialists who are able to provide tailored, tactical advice across the IP value chain. Philip’s background in-house, in private practice and as an IP litigator and barrister enables him to fulfil that brief. Having actively practised in all three IP-related legal professions, Philip brings to Novagraaf a unique set of skills that will enable us to further support clients across a range of industry sectors, and help them to create business value through effective and tactical global IP management.’

Philip added: ‘I am delighted to be taking over leadership of Novagraaf's trademark practice in the UK. I look forward to working with clients to maximise the potential of their IP assets and to contribute to the further development of Novagraaf trademark practice as a leading IP firm in the UK market.’
