Ogier—new partners

Ogier promotes new partners to Cayman Investment Funds team

Joanne Huckle and Piers Dryden from Ogier’s Cayman Investment Funds team have been promoted to the firm’s partnership.

This takes the firm’s total number of partners globally to 54, following the arrival of partner Anthony Partridge in February, and the promotion of James Heinicke in the Cayman fund finance team to the partnership last year.

Joanne advises some of the team’s most prestigious investment funds clients with regards to both open-ended and closed-ended mutual fund and private equity fund structures. She has extensive experience advising on a broad range of international corporate transactions including mergers and acquisitions, IPOs, rights issues, sukuk issues and restructurings.

Piers recently relocated to Jersey to lead the firm's Cayman law offering in the European timezone. He has extensive experience advising on corporate matters, including with respect to public and private mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructurings, joint ventures and rights issues. He also advises on the establishment, operation, restructuring, regulation and listing of both open-ended and private equity funds including funds utilising cryptocurrency and Blockchain technology.

James Bergstrom, who heads Ogier's Cayman office, said: ‘Our strategic growth in Cayman continues, and these promotions are well-deserved recognition of these individuals' contributions to the success of our leading investment funds team and their commitment to excellence in client service.’

Ogier provides advice on the British Virgin Islands, the Cayman Islands, Guernsey, Jersey and Luxembourg law through its network of offices that also includes Hong Kong, Shanghai and Tokyo.
