Specialist IP firm Powell Gilbert LLP has brought two new associates on board, Christina Guazzi and Dr Fred Wu.

Christina (pictured) joins the firm after three years as an associate in the IP dispute resolution team at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer. She specialises in design, trade mark and international patent litigation.

Fred has joined the firm from DLA Piper’s Toronto office, and holds an MSc in Virology from the University of Alberta. He has ample experience of handling contentious IP cases, including disputes over trade marks, patents and copyrights.

Dr Penny Gilbert, partner at Powell Gilbert, commented: ‘We are delighted to welcome Christina and Fred to Powell Gilbert. They are both talented individuals with excellent technical knowledge, in addition to their first-rate legal experience.

‘Having celebrated our tenth anniversary last year we are proud that the firm continues to go from strength to strength and pleased to have Christina and Fred joining the team.’
