Practising fee news

Practising fees are to remain unchanged for the coming year. The Legal Services Board has confirmed its acceptance of Solicitors Regulation Authority proposals to retain the individual fee at £320 and compensation fund contributions at £548 for firms and £32 for individuals. Practising fees for firms are determined by turnover figures. Paul Philip, SRA chief executive, says: “Maintaining practicing fees and compensation fund contributions at the current level is, in real terms, a reduction.”
