Radcliffe Chambers has announced the arrival of David Mohyuddin QC. David brings a depth of experience in commercial litigation, involving insolvency, allegations of fraud, asset tracing, professional negligence, company law and shareholder disputes.
David’s recent work includes successfully defending an insolvency practitioner accused of having given false evidence at an earlier trial; resisting an appeal in which it was suggested that a judgment could be set aside on the grounds that it had been obtained by fraud without the need to bring fresh proceedings; and advising and representing a major local authority in respect of a dispute with the developer of a strategically important site in the city.
Radcliffe Chambers has seen a record year with significant growth in its QC offering. Chambers celebrated three silk appointments this March, with commercial juniors Shantanu Majumdar and Christopher Boardman, and trusts barrister Kate Selway all being made up. It also welcomed two further lateral recruits, James Morgan QC and Avtar Khangure QC joining in late 2018. This latest addition to its roster will help chambers meet increasing client needs in the areas of commercial, fraud and insolvency litigation.
Commenting on David's appointment, Fiona Fitzgerald, chief executive of Radcliffe Chambers, said: ‘We are delighted to welcome David to chambers. He is an excellent QC, with impressive commercial experience, and he shares our commitment to working with clients collaboratively, as an extension of their teams.
‘We are very proud of the set’s success and the rapid growth of our commercial offering—this has been evident in the cases we've been instructed on and the barristers we've been able to attract.’
David Mohyuddin QC said: ‘I am very pleased to be joining the commercial team at Radcliffe Chambers and look forward to working with them to develop my practice across the UK and internationally.’
