Wave of firm-wide partner promotions

International firm Reed Smith LLP has announced a raft of new names joining the partnership, spanning 11 of the firm’s 28 offices worldwide. 23 lawyers are being promoted in total and five will be based in the firm's London office.

  • David Ashmore, a former counsel who offers expertise in labour and employment issues, such as domestic and international disputes and employee investigations, as well as TUPE transactions.
  • Joanna M. Carter, who handles investment work and real estate development, leasing and financing, with particular experience in alternative energy power stations.
  • Elizabeth Farrell who specialises in physical commodities, including their sale, purchase and transportation.
  • Antonia Panayides , who is is dedicated to ‘dry’ shipping matters, with experience spanning charter party disputes and bills of lading; and 
  • Philip Thomas, who has expertise across the fields of IP, technology and data protection, with a focus upon issues relating to the GDPR.
