Reed Smith has appointed Michael Darowski as a partner in its London office, adding significant depth to its global commercial disputes practice. With 25 years of experience, Darowski is known for handling high-value international disputes across energy, financial services, life sciences, transportation and TMT sectors.
Darowski has acted under all major arbitral rules and in ad hoc proceedings, with advocacy experience at every stage of arbitration. He has also appeared in national courts on matters ranging from interim relief to enforcement of awards. ‘Michael will prove a real asset to our clients,’ said Charles Hewetson, co-chair of the global disputes practice.
Kyri Evagora, chair of the energy and natural resources group, described Darowski as ‘a standout name in the market… a strategically significant addition to our international arbitration and litigation teams.’ Darowski commented: ‘It was a very easy decision to join the firm… I’m delighted to be here and look forward to working with the wider team.’
Previously a partner at McDermott Will & Emery, Darowski is qualified in both England and Hong Kong and is recognised by Chambers & Partners and The Legal 500. His arrival reflects Reed Smith’s continued investment in top-tier talent to support its global client base.
