Global firm Reed Smith has welcomed Stephen Chan as a partner in its Hong Kong office.
Stephen joins the firm after almost three years as a partner with Oldham, Lie & Nie, and previously worked at McVeagh Fleming in New Zealand before relocating to Hong Kong in 2013. He focuses his practice on commercial litigation, international arbitration, employment disputes, white-collar crime and IP litigation. He is qualified to practise in Hong Kong and New Zealand, and speaks English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
Asha Sharma, litigation partner in the Hong Kong office, said: ‘Stephen is a great addition to our team, and he will bring his clarity and focus to complex disputes in commercial litigation, international arbitration, employment and intellectual property matters. Stephen is the first of a few lateral partners to join us in Hong Kong.’
