Firm appoints renowned specialist QC as partner to its leading aviation practice

Clyde & Co has announced the appointment of Robert Lawson QC as a partner in its aviation group.

Rob joins Clyde & Co from Quadrant Chambers where he has a general commercial and common law practice, with particular emphasis on aviation law. Rob has worked with some of biggest names in the airline industry, acting and advising on many of the most notable aviation related disputes governed by English law fought over the last two decades.

Maria Cetta, partner at Clyde & Co, comments: “We're absolutely delighted to bring Rob into the firm as he has a unique set of skills, experience and relationships across the industry that will benefit our already market-leading practice, not least his experience in regulatory and commercial disputes.

"As the aviation market and regulatory landscape becomes ever more complex and globalised, we are as committed as ever to offering sophisticated and globally-integrated legal advice to our clients. Rob will play a key part in helping us achieve these objectives."

I believe that my aviation related expertise and experience complement what is already a formidable team and will provide an unparalleled opportunity to further augment Clyde & Co’s offering in the aviation sector. I look forward to playing a part in the next stage of the practice's growth."
