The firm welcomes a new partner to the family team

Law firm Russell-Cooke has welcomed Katie Longmate as a partner in the family team.

Katie advises on all aspects of family law, including divorce and relationship breakdown and managing the associated financial matters, many of which have an international element. She also assists clients with drafting nuptial agreements. She acts for clients, including high net worth individuals, international entrepreneurs and families of inherited wealth. She has experience in cases involving international child relocation and child arrangement disputes. Katie is a member of Resolution and on its Wellbeing Committee.

Katie’s arrival brings the number of Russell-Cooke family partners to nine and, as a Resolution-trained family mediator, she brings the firm’s total number of mediators to six.

She said: ‘I’ve long admired the Russell-Cooke family team and thoroughly enjoyed my interactions with everyone I’ve met, so it is with genuine excitement that I have joined them today. The team is ambitious and energetic, and I’m excited to have joined.’

Managing partner James Carroll said: ‘The last couple of years have been strong years for the family team, and Katie’s appointment reflects our commitment to growth and to investment at a senior level to ensure we continue to provide the best possible service to our clients. The family law landscape is changing and we have always focused on a collaborative approach, with mediation at the heart of our offering. Katie brings valuable skills and is delightful to work with so, most importantly, we know that she is a great fit for our team!’
