Russell-Cooke expands French desk offering with private client partner hire

Law firm Russell-Cooke has announced the appointment of partner Nicole Gallop Mildon to its private client practice, further enhancing the firm’s French law offering for individuals and their families.

Nicole Gallop Mildon applies her specialist expertise to all aspects of private wealth including estate planning, wills, probate and incapacity. Originally from Belgium and a fluent French speaker much of Nicole’s work has a cross-border element, particularly relating to France or other French speaking countries. She specialises in advising on French property issues and transaction structuring, especially in relation to effective tax planning.

A qualified solicitor and diplômée notaire with almost two decades of experience practising in the UK and France, Nicole has degrees in both English and French Law from Kings College London and the Université Paris I–Panthéon-Sorbonne.

Nicole joins Russell-Cooke’s cross-border team which already includes leading individuals such as Andrew Godfrey and Patrick Delas and Richard Frimston and active members of the Franco-British Lawyers Society, the French Chamber of Commerce and STEP France (Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners).

John Gould, senior partner at Russell-Cooke, comments: 'It is a pleasure to welcome Nicole to the firm. We are seeing continued growth in demand from individuals and families for cross-border advice and services, particularly between the UK and continental Europe. Global mobility is increasing and a complex legal and regulatory environment requires careful navigation. Our French Team have been a real source of value for clients in this regard and Nicole brings further depth of expertise and experience. We very much look forward to working with her.'

Nicole Gallop Mildon, partner at Russell-Cooke, added: 'I’m very pleased to have been invited to join Russell-Cooke. The firm is widely and well respected for its private client practice, including its established and highly regarded French offering, while the firm’s culture and values, including its commitment to impeccable client service and the pursuit of justice, match with my own professional principles. I am excited to get started.'
