Russell-Cooke—Roger Longarón

Firm launches Spanish legal and tax offering with strategic hire

Russell-Cooke has appointed Spanish-qualified lawyer and tax adviser Roger Longarón to lead its newly launched Spanish legal and tax offering, expanding the firm’s international private client practice. Roger’s arrival responds to growing demand from clients with ties to Spain, which hosts the largest community of British nationals in the EU.

Roger qualified in Barcelona in 2019 and has since built a strong cross-border tax advisory practice, with expertise in UK and Spanish pre-emigration and pre-immigration planning, trusts, and succession matters. He said he was ‘excited to help the launch of Russell-Cooke’s Spanish legal and tax services’ and looks forward to ‘helping clients navigate the complexities of both jurisdictions’.

Andrew Godfrey, partner at Russell-Cooke, said Roger’s appointment was ‘a natural and exciting progression’ for the firm’s international offering. He added: ‘Roger’s arrival reinforces our ability to offer seamless cross-border advice… Spain is a key destination for many of our UK clients, and we are now even better positioned to support them.’

Roger will also contribute to the firm’s broader international private client work, complementing its existing French and Italian capabilities. His appointment reflects Russell-Cooke’s commitment to providing specialist, multilingual legal services tailored to the needs of globally mobile clients.
