SA Law—Kiran Beeharry

Joint head of family law appointed

SA Law has appointed Kiran Beeharry as joint head of family law, marking a significant milestone in the firm's 20th anniversary year. Beeharry will co-lead the department alongside long-standing partner Marilyn Bell, who has headed the team for two decades. The move reflects Beeharry’s growing leadership role within the department and his strategic collaboration with Bell.

Beeharry joined SA Law in 2012 and became a partner in 2019. He is recognised by The Legal 500 for his ‘extremely good eye for detail’ and ranked by Chambers and Partners as a top lawyer. His practice focuses on high-value and complex asset-tracing cases, often involving high net worth individuals, celebrities, and international dimensions. He also brings specialist expertise in Islamic marriage and divorce matters.

Commenting on his appointment, Beeharry said: ‘I am proud to be co-leading SA Law’s family law team with Marilyn… I’ve learnt so much from her.’ Bell praised Beeharry’s leadership and legal acumen, saying: ‘He is a phenomenally talented lawyer… I am looking forward to working closely with him to strengthen the holistic service we provide.’

Joint managing partner Steve Ryan added: ‘Kiran has always impressed me with his big-picture thinking and his astute, collaborative approach.’ The family law team at SA Law continues to be ranked in the top tiers of Legal 500 and Chambers and Partners, and is known for its integrated, multi-disciplinary approach to complex family matters.
