Seddons GSC—Ben Marks

Partner joins residential real estate team

West End law firm Seddons GSC has appointed Ben Marks as a partner in its residential real estate team. He joins from RIAA Barker Gillette (UK) LLP, where he spent five years as partner and head of residential property, bringing more than 20 years’ experience in property law.

Marks said: ‘I’m delighted to be joining Seddons GSC at this stage in its growth journey. The firm’s values align with my own personal and professional approach to client service.’ He added that he looks forward to ‘contributing to the client-oriented culture within the residential real estate team.’

He has built a substantial client following, advising developers, lenders, investors and high-net-worth individuals across the sport, music and television industries. His experience spans residential property transactions, investment portfolios and development projects. Marks co-founded Tibber Marks Solicitors in 2019, which merged with RIAA Barker Gillette in 2021, and previously served as head of the property department at Moerans Solicitors.

Howard Freeman, partner and head of residential real estate, said Marks is ‘a very welcome addition to our team’, adding that his arrival marks ‘another significant step in the firm's growth.’ Managing partner Simon Ross said Marks’ ‘depth of management experience’ and ‘authentic approach to client service makes him an excellent addition to the firm’ as it continues to expand its real estate and sector practices.
