Firm hires international arbitration practitioner

International arbitration practitioner Laurence Shore is set to join London specialist disputes firm Seladore Legal in September 2024.

Laurence currently practices at the Milan office of leading Italian firm BonelliErede. Previously, he was at Gibson Dunn in New York, and has also enjoyed two spells as a partner at Herbert Smith Freehills (HSF).

He has handled complex commercial and treaty disputes under the ICC, LCIA, ICDR, ICSID, AAA-Commercial, UNCITRAL, and Swiss Arbitration Centre Rules, in sectors including energy, construction, mining, telecoms and finance. He is an English qualified solicitor and a member of the New York, District of Columbia and Virginia bars.

Seladore senior partner, Simon Bushell said: ‘Larry and I enjoyed a dynamic working relationship alongside each other as partners in HSF, and I am thrilled to be welcoming him to Seladore as a partner. Larry’s experience will be a huge addition to the firm’s international arbitration offering. Our combined skill set, focus and determination to succeed promises to enrich Seladore’s alchemy in a way which will be highly attractive to clients.’

Laurence commented: ‘I am grateful to my colleagues at Bonelli for many years of happy and fruitful collaboration. Seladore has quickly established a stellar reputation in the London market. I relish being part of its further growth, and enhancing the firm’s international profile.’
