Firm bolsters commercial property team

Boyd Legal has secured the services of Shaun Mackintosh.

Having previously acted on behalf of property developers, landlords, tenants, games developers, major housebuilders, landowners and global oil companies, and in acquisition and sale of a variety of businesses, Shaun boasts more than 16 years experience at the highest level, and will work from Boyd’s flagship Edinburgh office in the West End.

Shaun, who will join as commercial director, with responsibility for commercial and commercial property, says: “Boyd Legal is a well respected outfit with major ambitions and plans in place for significant future growth throughout Scotland—and for me that made the move a very attractive proposition.

“Not only this, but the clear focus on excellent service to all of its clients made this opportunity a perfect fit.”

The appointment follows a recent merger with Kirkcaldy-based Gibson & Spears, Dow & Son.

Peter Boyd, managing partner of Boyd Legal, says: “I’m delighted to have a fellow Dundonian on board!

“Boyd Legal is a family business but we’re always excited to bring in new blood. Shaun has worked with an unmatched range of clients and his wealth of experience will enable us to further reach our potential.

“We have serious ambitions for growth and business development—through both acquisition and organic means and Shaun’s appointment is going to be the catalyst for this.”
