Firm announces a quartet of newcomers

Shulmans LLP has announced a string of new hires, with a partner, two associates and a business development manager all set to join this month.

Two of the hires will bolster the firm’s real estate offering, with new partner Julie Carr joining the residential development unit. She offers over 15 years of experience in property matters, with expertise in residential and mixed use developments, site disposals and acquisitions. Also joining the real estate team is associate Peter Woods, who is moving to Shulmans after ten years at DLA Piper. He will sit within the firm’s commercial property unit, bringing his experience advising on property portfolios and estate management.

The firm’s conveyancing services have also received a boost in the form of new associate Katrina Allen, formerly of Winston Solicitors. She will join QCAS, a division of Shulmans specialising in providing conveyancing services, and will continue to advise on a wide range of property transactions.

The final member of the firm’s new quartet is Donna Bibby. She will be joining as client relationship and business development manager within the firm’s debt recovery unit, an area in which she has ample prior experience following her previous role of debt recovery manager at Blacks Solicitors.

The firm’s managing partner Tim Halstead said: ‘We are delighted to start the new year by announcing our new recruits. As a UK top 200 corporate law firm, we are very much focused on giving our clients the highest standard of service, so we’re incredibly pleased to welcome such a diverse group of talent to the firm.’
