The Dorset-based commercial law firm Steele Raymond LLP has announced the appointment of senior associate Simone Ritchie. Simone will join the firm’s dispute resolution team, bringing with her a broad range of property litigation experience.

Simone is returning to her home town of Bournemouth having spent her career to date in Manchester, where she studied at the University of Manchester and Manchester Business School. Since qualifying as a solicitor, Simone has amassed a very significant range of experience at DWF LLP and more recently Eversheds LLP

Simone's particular interests are dilapidations, development disputes, ratings disputes, arbitration and expert determination claims. She also deals with professional negligence claims, injunction proceedings (particularly in relation to breach of covenant, infringement of easements, nuisance and rights of way), contested probate issues concerning property and agricultural disputes.

Simone frequently speaks at external seminars and conferences, having regularly been asked to provide training to the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, local councils and the Association of Chief Estates Surveyors.

Simone says: “I’m thrilled to be joining Steele Raymond at this exciting time—the firm is well established as a top tier player and commercial leader in Dorset, with a dynamic and committed team of people who make a real difference to clients from both a business and personal perspective. I’m really looking forward to being a part of the team.”

Chairman Tim Stone adds: "Steele Raymond continues to be at the heart of commercial law in Dorset. We have very ambitious growth plans to further underline our market leading position, so we’re delighted to be welcoming someone of Simone’s calibre to the team.”
