Slater Heelis—five appointments

Firm appoints training partner and four new trainees

Slater Heelis Solicitors has appointed Vicki McLynn, partner in the family law team, as the firm’s new training partner. In this newly created role, McLynn (pictured) begins her tenure by welcoming four new trainee solicitors—Harriet Morgan, Eleanor Talbot, Eleanor Clarke, and Zainab Sardar—joining the 2025 trainee cohort. The appointments reflect the firm’s ongoing investment in nurturing the next generation of legal professionals and fostering career-long development.

The new trainees bring a broad mix of experience and academic achievement. Morgan, a former paralegal in healthcare and public law, will explore commercial litigation; Clarke joins the employment law team; Talbot continues her training within the family team after gaining experience in private client, corporate, and employment law; and Sardar joins the corporate commercial team, drawing on her background as a legal solutions and relationship manager, and her global certification as a legal project professional.

Commenting on the appointments, McLynn said: ‘At Slater Heelis, we are passionate about investing in people and supporting solicitors coming through the ranks at all stages. These individuals have demonstrated exceptional commitment to becoming brilliant lawyers, and we are delighted to welcome them as trainees.’ She added: ‘Our goal now is to provide them with the right opportunities, mentoring and support to enable them to continue to thrive and develop into outstanding lawyers.’

The trainees will take part in Slater Heelis’s long-standing tradition of signing the Slotherem roll, a scroll dating back over two centuries and symbolising the firm’s 250-year legacy in legal education. Rachel Fletcher, managing partner, said: ‘Our history has shown we consistently produce successful lawyers who have gone on to build coveted careers within the profession. The new additions reflect our ethos of combining client-focused legal excellence with a deep commitment to professional development.’
