Solicitor appointed to Court of Protection department

Slater Heelis has welcomed Shannon Jenkins to the firm as a solicitor within the Court of Protection department; marking the third appointment this year to this growing team.

Shannon (pictured, right) brings with her a strong background in civil litigation, having previously specialised in pursuing claims against the police on behalf of her clients. Her experience advocating for individuals’ rights makes her a valuable addition to the team as she now transitions into Court of Protection work.

Clare King (left), partner and head of Court of Protection team at Slater Heelis said: 'We are delighted to welcome Shannon to the team. Her background in civil litigation and commitment to protecting individuals’ rights align perfectly with our values.  It already feels like she’s a key part of our team and we look forward to seeing her thrive.'

In her new role, Shannon looks forward to safeguarding the rights, health, and well-being of vulnerable individuals; keen to apply her expertise in a new legal setting and contributing to the continued success of Slater Heelis.

Clare added: 'Since I joined Slater Heelis at the start of the year, we’ve made significant steps to strategically grow our team and I am incredibly proud of the impressive calibre and experience we’ve attracted to join us; it clearly shows the high regard in which the firm is held in this niche area of law.

'Our Court of Protection team combines expert knowledge with genuine empathy to protect and care for its clients and we firmly believe we excel in this field, going above and beyond as we support the most vulnerable; putting their best interests at the heart of everything we do for them.'
