Fulfils the statutory duty on the Secretary of State to review the rates of social security benefits and provides for the up-rating of certain benefits.

Summary

Reduces certain rates of invalidity allowance, age addition and age related addition payable with incapacity benefits (Incapacity Benefit and Severe Disablement Allowance). The basic state pension will increase by 5.2% in 2012, increasing the rate of Category A Retirement Pension
