Experienced employment lawyer joins firm as partner
Sidley Austin LLP has announced that Susan Fanning is joining the firm as a partner, bringing to Sidley more than 25 years of experience in employment law.
In particular, Susan advises a wide range of multinational clients on both contentious and non-contentious employment matters, and has particular experience in advising on policy and strategic human resource issues. She also regularly supports cross-border corporate transactions and regularly advises on business transfers, outsourcings, business reorganization matters, senior executive disputes and team poachings.
“Sue is an accomplished employment lawyer, and we are very excited to welcome her to the firm,” says Matthew Dening, managing partner of Sidley’s London office. “She will be a great resource to our clients.”
“Sue will be an integral member of the firm’s employment group and will lead the London practice,” says Stephen Blackshaw, co-leader of Sidley’s corporate group in London. “Our corporate clients will value her practical solutions to the challenging employment law issues that frequently arise in mergers and acquisitions, private equity, joint ventures and other corporate transactions.”
