Switalskis—Sally Christey, Mathew Abiagom & Cyman Kaur

Commercial property team expands with trio of appointments

Switalskis has strengthened its commercial property team with three appointments, marking the next phase of growth for the nine-strong department. Director Sally Christey joins alongside solicitors Mathew Abiagom and Cyman Kaur, supporting growing client demand across Yorkshire and beyond.

Sally Christey brings more than 20 years’ experience advising on complex commercial property transactions and will play a key leadership role as the team continues to expand. She said: ‘Yorkshire’s property market moves fast, and Switalskis is in a great position to help clients take advantage of new opportunities’, adding that she was ‘genuinely excited to join a team with real depth of experience’.

The team has also welcomed Mathew Abiagom, who advises clients across the public and private sectors on acquisitions, disposals, development projects and secured lending. He said Switalskis has ‘a strong reputation for combining technical excellence with a genuine client-focused approach’. Cyman Kaur, who qualified after joining the firm as a trainee in 2023, said the work in commercial property is ‘fast-moving and varied’ and that she was ‘excited to be involved in a range of really interesting cases’.

John Durkan, CEO at Switalskis, said: ‘The appointment of Sally, Mathew and Cyman shows our commitment to investing in experienced leadership and talented new recruits’, strengthening the firm’s ability to support clients with increasingly complex commercial property matters.
