Financial services regulatory expert joins the firm in London

Taylor Wessing has announced the hire of Charlotte Witherington, formerly at Freshfields, as a partner based in London. The appointment boosts the firm’s ability to provide expert and solutions-focused advice on all aspects of UK and EU financial services law and regulation to UK and international clients.

Taylor Wessing’s team specialises in advising on the implementation of regulatory change and disruptive projects driven by technology and works for many of the leading brands and disruptors in this space.

Head of Taylor Wessing’s financial services regulatory team Charlotte Hill said: ‘Charlotte’s expertise and track record in gaining clients’ confidence at the intersection of technology and traditional financial services regulatory law will enhance the breadth and depth of our service offering and accelerate our efforts to expand our market-leading FinTech practice in the City and internationally.’
