Taylor Wessing—Emma Chadwick

Firm bolsters real estate group with new head of disputes

Taylor Wessing has appointed Emma Chadwick as partner and head of real estate disputes, reinforcing its expertise in contentious property matters. Chadwick, a former barrister and a Solicitor Advocate who was previously head of litigation and dispute resolution at a leading UK firm, brings extensive experience advising international and UK clients on complex real estate litigation. ‘I’m thrilled to be joining Taylor Wessing at such an exciting time,’ she says.

Her appointment aligns with the firm’s international growth strategy, enhancing its capabilities in development and acquisition risk, asset management, and disputes for family offices and UHNWIs. ‘Emma’s impressive track record and reputation for property litigation will add real strength to our international real estate practice,’ says Paul Lawrence, head of real estate UK.

Shane Gleghorn, UK managing partner and global co-chair, highlights Chadwick’s strategic importance, stating, ‘real estate disputes is an important part of our real estate and disputes practice and intersects with our key practice groups.’
