Taylor Wessing—Kim Wedral

Employment specialist joins Cambridge office as partner

Taylor Wessing has strengthened its Cambridge office with the appointment of Kim Wedral as employment partner. Wedral, who previously led the Innovate Employment group at an international firm, has extensive experience advising businesses and investors in the scale-up and growth space. Her hire underscores the firm’s commitment to the Golden Triangle and its international client base.

Wedral’s practice focuses on global talent challenges, including fundraising, M&A, expansion into new territories, complex exits and disputes, HR strategy and immigration matters. She also brings extensive international exposure, supporting clients with global expansion and staff mobility. ‘Her impressive track record and leading market recognition will be invaluable,’ said Paul Callaghan, head of the employment, pensions & mobility group in the UK.

The new partner has strong recognition in the innovation sector, particularly with tech and life sciences clients and their investors. Her appointment supports Taylor Wessing’s international growth strategy and enhances its employment offering to clients with complex cross-border needs. ‘Providing advice to investors and businesses operating within the tech and life sciences triangle of London, Cambridge and Oxford is a key area of growth for the firm,’ added UK managing partner Shane Gleghorn.

Commenting on her move, Wedral said: ‘It’s a great time to be joining Taylor Wessing, especially with the opportunity to build upon my established practice supporting tech and life sciences clients with their global talent challenges. The firm’s wide international coverage gives us a fantastic opportunity to develop our international employment platform, and I look forward to leveraging my network within the Golden Triangle to drive growth for the firm.’
