Irena Spence & Co Solicitors & Limbach Banham Solicitors merge with firm
Tees Law, the regional legal firm with its original base in Bishop’s Stortford, has today announced that Irena Spence & Co Solicitors, with offices in Cambridge and Comberton, and Royston-based Limbach Banham Solicitors have merged into Tees Law, and its financial services arm Tees Financial. The joining firms will become known as Tees Law.
The mergers will see the Cambridge office of Irena Spence & Co combined with the Tees Law office in Titan House, Castle Street, Cambridge. Limbach Banham’s St John Street office in Royston will become Tees Law’s fifth office location. In addition to Cambridge, Tees already has offices in Bishop’s Stortford, Saffron Walden and Chelmsford. Irena Spence & Co’s Comberton branch will be amalgamated within Tees’ Cambridge and new Royston offices.
Irena Spence & Co has a team of ten people who will all become part of Tees providing additional conveyancing, private client and family advice expertise. Irena Spence, who founded the firm in 1998, will join Tees as a partner, based in Cambridge, in the residential property team.
Limbach Banham has been practising in Royston for over 100 years. The team of eight staff will continue to be based in Royston and the firm’s partner, Pamela Parker, will become a consultant with Tees Law. It will continue to provide private client, residential and commercial property services while also offering a wider range of services to clients in the growing town of Royston and the surrounding villages.
Tees senior partner, David Redfern, says: “We’re delighted to announce these mergers which demonstrate our commitment to careful and considered growth. Both firms reflect our own values which focus on ensuring that we deliver a high quality service to the local community. We look forward to welcoming the staff of both firms and to the contribution I am sure they will make to Tees Law and to our clients.”
Irena Spence, founder of Irena Spence & Co, says: “Right from the very beginning, our key focus has been the delivery of quality service to our clients. In an increasingly complex and challenging world, this merger enables us to continue to improve the service we provide and to keep pace with growing demand.
“I’m very excited about the future, especially as I believe this merger will benefit our clients, who will continue to deal with the same people as they do currently and enjoy the same range of competitive fees. In addition, they will have access to an even wider range of legal professionals and services.”
Pamela Parker of Limbach Banham says: “Limbach Banham has a rich tradition and the decision to merge with Tees Law was a decision that has been taken after long and careful consideration. We believe that this move means that we will now be able to offer our clients and the wider community of Royston and the surrounding villages a wider range of services and the same level of personal service.”
