Multiple practice areas boosted by promotions

South East firm Thomson Snell & Passmore has announced 11 promotions across a wide range of its departments. Those moving up consist of five new partners, a senior associate and a legal executive senior associate, as well as three associates and one legal executive associate.

The private client and Court of Protection team will benefit from two additional partners, Catherine Fuller and Rosie Hamlyn. Catherine is highly experience in handling statutory will applications to the Court of Protection, and also works with the clinical negligence and personal injury team. Rosie focuses on advising individuals who lack capacity, particularly as a result of a brain injury following an accident. As well as its two new partners, the team has also taken on Heather West as a senior associate.

In the commercial property team, Alex Lewsley will be joining as partner. He is experienced in handling acquisitions and disposals of freehold and leasehold commercial property, as well as landlord and tenant issues. Within the same team, Oliver Butler will also move to associate.

Rebecca Swain will also be taking on a partner role, as well as assuming the position of head of the residential conveyancing department, taking over from Guy Hollamby. Property specialist Claire Josef is also moving to partner in the same team and will continue to advise on leasehold and freehold transactions, including on the purchase of high-value London properties.

The fifth partner promotion is of Sarah Keily in the family team. Sarah offers expertise in pre-nuptial agreements, financial issues surrounding relationship breakdown, and domestic violence cases.

In the tax planning team, both Sarah Nettleship and Stuart Price have been promoted to associate, and will advise on a range of issues including inheritance tax, estate planning, trusts and power of attorney.

On the legal executive side, Sue Lambert has been appointed as a senior associate in the probate team, and Jenny Waight in the clinical negligence and personal injury practice.

Senior partner at Thomson Snell & Passmore James Partridge commented: ‘On behalf of the firm I would like to extend my congratulations to all those on these thoroughly deserved promotions. The promotions reflect the calibre of expertise on offer throughout Thomson Snell & Passmore and growing talent remains a key focus to further strengthen the growth of the firm.’
