Construction law specialist joins firm

Tim Hall has joined Birketts’ construction and engineering team as a legal director.

Tim has over 20 years’ experience and specialises in non-contentious engineering and construction law. He is based at the firm’s Cambridge office but supports colleagues across Birketts’ four offices: Cambridge, Chelmsford, Ipswich and Norwich.

During his career Tim has acted for multi-national companies, financial institutions, public, charitable and private sector procurers of construction and engineering work, contractors, subcontractors and consultants.

Tim said: “Birketts’ construction and engineering team has an excellent reputation within the sector and is rightly held in high-esteem by the legal directories. I am thrilled to be joining one of the largest construction and engineering legal teams in the eastern region and look forward to contributing to the firm’s success.”

Andrew Rush, partner and head of Birketts’ construction and engineering team, added: “I’m delighted that Tim has selected Birketts as the right firm to re-join private practice after working in-house for a large civil engineering design and build contractor. He has a wide range of experience working on contentious and non-contentious construction matters having spent more than twenty years concentrating on construction law. Tim has been directly involved in a range of projects including power stations, educational buildings, wind farms, residential developments, road and rail infrastructure and all types of commercial building, as well as land stabilisation and remediation.”
