TLT—Jonathan O’Hagan

Cross-border real estate expertise expands with new partner hire

UK law firm TLT has appointed Jonathan O’Hagan as partner in its national real estate team, based in Belfast. Jonathan joins from DWF, bringing over a decade of experience in commercial real estate, corporate and finance transactions, with a particular focus on cross-border matters.

Qualified in the Republic of Ireland, England and Wales, and Northern Ireland, Jonathan has advised a wide range of clients including multinational corporations, SMEs, and lending institutions. ‘Many of my clients are seeking to take advantage of emerging trends such as green building practices and the diversification of retail spaces,’ he said.

His practice includes advising corporate occupiers in the retail and office sectors, and handling real estate financing for major energy projects in Ireland. At TLT, Jonathan will provide strategic advice to clients such as international investment funds, banks, retailers and public bodies. ‘TLT’s ambition is clear to see… I’m pleased to be joining such a dynamic firm at a pivotal moment for the market,’ he added.

Jonathan’s arrival follows a period of growth for TLT’s UK-wide real estate team, which has recently welcomed Kay Desai, Colin Brown and Neal Bhattacharyya. Maria Connolly, partner and head of real estate and future energy, said: ‘Jonathan’s expertise will be invaluable in supporting clients as they navigate the trends ahead.’
