Firm bolsters large & complex injury team
Horwich Farrelly has strengthened its market-leading large & complex injury team with the dual appointments of Tony McLoughlin and Alistair Graham as partners.
Tony joins from DWF’s Liverpool office where he was a director with responsibility for all aspects of serious injury litigation. Over the course of his successful career, he has developed specialisms in catastrophic and fatal injury cases and has a particular interest in high value claims with an element of fraud/exaggeration.
Joining Horwich Farrelly’s Manchester office, Alistair brings with him more than 20 years’ experience dealing with large and complex injury cases arising out of employers’ and public liability claims, and motor accidents. Previously a partner at Keoghs, Alistair also has experience dealing with foreign matters and frequently provides training to insurers on technical issues.
Together, they bring almost 40 years’ combined experience to the firm.
Alistair says: “By their very nature, insurers require cases involving large and complex injuries to be handled both sensitively and collaboratively, and for those acting on their behalf to have highly specialised knowledge. Horwich Farrelly continues to demonstrate a clear commitment to its client-led approach through its continued investment in the quality of its team”.
Tony adds: “Horwich Farrelly has built arguably the strongest, and most experienced, large and complex injury team in the market, collectively dealing with claims valued at almost £1bn. To be joining at this time is exciting and I look forward to being able to further strengthen the firm’s offering in this critical area.”
Rob Barrett, managing partner for Horwich Farrelly, says: “Tony and Alistair are highly regarded for their technical knowledge and their ability to balance commercial and ethical considerations in sensitive cases. We are pleased to welcome them to our 60-strong team and for their proven expertise in the complex injury arena to bolster the service and geographic reach we offer to our clients.”
