Trethowans—Ferhat Choudri

Insurance expert joins the team

Southampton firm Trethowans has welcomed insurance specialist Ferhat Choudri to the firm.

Ferhat (pictured, centre) has joined the firm from BDB Pitmans. He has more than 30 years of experience advising insurers, brokers, businesses and individuals on all aspects of insurance, including road traffic accidents, catastrophic injury claims, employer’s liability and public liability cases.

Ferhat said: ‘I had the pleasure of working with Trethowans on the panel of a former client and was struck by the firm’s energy and contemporary approach. My number one priority is achieving a fair outcome and I believe that working for an innovative firm with a fresh outlook makes that goal a much easier one to achieve. I’m very much excited to be a part of the team.’

Partner Kelvin Farmaner (left) added: ‘Ferhat has an outstanding reputation in the insurance market and his work on international claims pays great complement to our current European service.

‘We were instantly impressed by his knowledge, professionalism and approachability. His work on landmark cases like Jimaale v London Buses Limited [2002] secured a defendant’s right to a fair trial and is testament to his passion for justice. We have no doubt that he will be a great asset to the team.’
