Corporate team welcomes partner in Leeds

Ward Hadaway has appointed Alex Cooper as a corporate partner in its Leeds office as it continues to expand its national corporate offering. The move forms part of ongoing investment in the firm’s 35-strong corporate team, following the recent arrival of banking and finance specialist Aarti Parmar as a director.

Cooper joins with more than 20 years’ experience advising on UK and international mergers and acquisitions, disposals, investments and restructurings. Cooper said: ‘I’m pleased to have joined the highly capable team at Ward Hadaway’ and described the firm as ‘such a successful and ambitious business’.

Nik Tunley, head of corporate, said the hires of Cooper and Parmar in Leeds ‘significantly enhance the scale and experience of our offering’ and reinforce the firm’s commitment to ‘a partner led service’.

Steven Petrie, managing partner, said the firm had continued to invest in its corporate team through senior appointments over the past year. He added: ‘Alex brings significant experience in mid-market transactions and adds further depth to the team as we continue to grow.’
