Ward Hadaway—Louise Miller

Private client team strengthened by partner appointment

Ward Hadaway has expanded its private client team with the appointment of solicitor Louise Miller, who joins the firm as a partner. Bringing almost 20 years’ experience advising individuals, families and business owners, she works across estate planning, wills, powers of attorney, trusts and probate, as well as complex succession planning for entrepreneurs. Her arrival follows a period of growth for the firm, including its merger with Teesside’s Endeavour Partnership and the opening of a Birmingham office.

Alison Hall, head of private client, described Louise as ‘a highly respected adviser with extensive experience across the full spectrum of estate planning and wealth protection’. She said Louise’s work with entrepreneurs ‘adds an important dimension to our team’ and supports the firm’s ambition to build a market-leading service for individuals and families across the UK.

Louise, who joins from Weightmans where she was a partner in the private wealth team, said the opportunity to join Ward Hadaway was ‘something I couldn’t turn down’. She added that she had ‘admired the team’s work for many years’ and was excited to contribute to the next phase of growth, particularly around succession planning for entrepreneurs and business owners.

Based in Newcastle, Louise joins partners Alison Hall and Andrew Facer in leading the wills, trusts and estates team, which works closely with financial planners and tax advisers to provide integrated support for clients nationwide. Managing partner Steven Petrie said her appointment ‘reflects the momentum we are building across the firm’ and strengthens the firm’s private client capability as it continues to invest in people and core services.
