Firm boosts corporate & capital markets practice with double hire

Wedlake Bell has bolstered its corporate and capital markets capabilities with the recruitment of two partners, Nigel Taylor and Martin Thomas.

Both Nigel and Martin have joined the firm from Watson Farley & Williams. Nigel specialises in domestic and cross-border corporate matters, including private equity transactions, M&A deals, and corporate structuring, and offers particular expertise in the insurance and rail industries.

Martin brings a wealth of experience in advising on IPOs and secondary offerings in the London capital markets. He also handles M&A cases, joint ventures and private equity deals, and advises clients from the energy, mining and real estate sectors.

Wedlake Bell’s managing partner Martin Arnold said: ‘This is a really exciting time for Wedlake Bell's corporate practice and we are extremely pleased to welcome Nigel Taylor and Martin Thomas to the firm. They will add real value and depth to our thriving Corporate and Capital Markets practice. These appointments reflect the firm’s commitment to growth and the further strengthening of our specialist offering in key sectors to meet client demand.’
