Firm welcomes partner with specialist expertise in family and art law
Wedlake Bell has appointed Rebecca Christie as a partner in its family team, increasing the group’s partner count to three following Natasha Kurth’s promotion in November 2025. Christie joins from Fladgate, bringing expertise in both family law and art and cultural property law.
She advises on financial remedies, private children law and modern families work, with particular experience in cases involving domestic abuse and trauma-related issues. Alongside her family practice, she counsels private clients on contentious and non-contentious art matters, including attribution, provenance, authenticity and title, particularly in high net worth divorces involving significant collections.
Head of family Alex Davies said Christie’s ‘depth of expertise across both family law and art and cultural property law is exceptional’ and that her arrival ‘further strengthens our offering to clients with challenging family and asset related matters.’
Christie said she is ‘really pleased to join the team at Wedlake Bell at such an exciting point in the firm’s growth’, adding that the firm’s ‘long standing reputation for exceptional client service and expertise across both Family and Art & Luxury work creates a unique platform for clients facing complex and often deeply personal challenges.’
