Kirsty Stuart, formerly of Irwin Mitchell, has joined Weightmans’ healthcare team in Newcastle as a principal associate.
Boasting over 15 years’ experience in the sector, her practice is in mental health, mental capacity, judicial review and public law, with a special interest in development of the law to secure appropriate community packages for patients who are autistic and/or have a learning disability, and who are detained in Mental Health Assessment and Treatment Units.
Kirsty is also the current chair of the Law Society Mental Health and Disability Committee, as well as being a member of the Law Society Policy and Regulatory Affairs Committee.
