Insurance and corporate teams in London announce double partner hire

Weightmans has appointed Nigel Adams and Rehman Noormohamed as partners in its London office, marking a further step in the firm’s ongoing expansion and investment in its london team. The hires strengthen the firm’s insurance and technology offering for clients in the UK and internationally.

Adams (pictured, left) joins from DAC Beachcroft, where he was a partner specialising in insurance litigation, with a focus on high-value and complex claims for insurer and broker clients. His arrival bolsters Weightmans’ large loss department in London and also marks a return to the firm, having previously worked there as an associate solicitor between 2010 and 2015.

Noormohamed (right) joins from Fieldfisher, where he was a partner in the international technology and data team. A commercial, AI/technology, telecoms, data and IP lawyer, he is dual-qualified as a lawyer and an electronic and communication engineer, bringing experience from IT and telecoms consulting and as a CIO. His appointment enhances the firm’s capability in complex technology and IP matters.

Andrew Cromby (centre), regional office head in London, said the firm is ‘focused on building strong, dynamic teams that champion innovation, partnership, and client service’, adding that the appointments ‘exemplify the firm’s commitment’ to its london office and to ‘delivering superior outcomes for clients’. The news follows the recent appointment of Caroline Johnson as claims director and executive board member, further strengthening the firm’s insurance and claims expertise in London.
