Firm appoints new M&A partner

Weightmans has recruited Oliver Harker as partner in its London office, boosting its transactional capabilities.

Oliver comes to the firm after four and a half years as a partner with Reed Smith, and has previously worked at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer and Sullivan & Cromwell. He is experienced in all manner of transactions, including high-value cross-border M&A deals, joint ventures, and capital markets.

Commenting on his new position, Oliver said: ‘It is great to be at Weightmans – the firm is ambitious, promotes a positive working culture and is driven by solutions for clients. The ethos here very much mirrors my own approach and I look forward to working with the teams here to further develop the firm’s corporate offering both on a national and international scale.’
